Size Chart for Bridles
While bridle sizes generally will fit horse sizes according to the size chart, horse head sizes do vary, and we recommend that you test the bridle without removing the tags first.
When the bridle is on, there should be a hand’s width between the chin strap and the horse’s jaw, two fingers’ width between the noseband and the horse’s nose, and you should be able to fit two fingers under the browband. The browband must not be so tight that it pinches behind the horse’s ears; neither should it be so long that it pulls the bridle forward.

The figure 8 style of this bridle is perfect for eventing or jumping.
The Mexican-style noseband is a perfect choice for cross country or show jumping where added leverage and control is needed. The strap is enclosed within the crown to allow the soft padding to make contact with the horse’s poll, not the thinner strap of the noseband. Intercontinental lined rubber web reins won’t slip through your fingers when wet for added grip.

Washing instructions:
Open buckles and wipe clean with damp sponge. Do not saturate with water or chemical cleaners not intended for leather. Leather cleaner and conditioner may also be used to maintain condition and the life of the leather. Damp wipe rubberized reins.

The quality of the leather finishing is not the best, there were a couple of fraying stitches and leather was not cut the nicest across his crown piece. However, I love the softness and the design of the bridle – it gave me the added control in SJ without needing to apply pressure on his mouth, which is always a plus. Besides, with a couple of coats of leather soap and balsam all frays were smoothed out.
